What can you expect during a medical weight loss evaluation?

Healthy Food

Medical weight loss is not a one-size-fits-all process. Many people struggle with weight loss, and traditional methods like diet and exercise may not work for everyone. We specialize in personalized weight loss plans tailored to your lifestyle.  Michelle carefully considers your diet, lifestyle, medical history, and weight loss goals to create a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs. Following a comprehensive health assessment, which includes a medical intake questionnaire, extensive medical history review, and lab testing, Michelle may recommend:

  • Nutritional counseling

  • Lifestyle adjustments

  • Psychotherapy

  • Exercise plan

  • Smoking and/or alcohol cessation support

  • Semaglutide or Tirzepatide Injections

  • Lipotropic injections (e.g., B12, Lipo Mini)

Benefits

Medical weight loss can decrease your body weight and boost self-esteem. Other key benefits include:

  • Increased energy levels

  • Decreased cholesterol levels

  • Lowered blood pressure

  • Improved heart health

  • Decreased joint pain

  • Enhanced physical performance

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide (the same active, FDA-approved ingredient in Ozempic®) is used primarily for managing type 2 diabetes, but has been used for promoting weight loss. It is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, which means it mimics the action of a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels. Semaglutide works by increasing insulin secretion, reducing glucagon release, slowing gastric emptying, and promoting a feeling of fullness or satiety.

In addition to diabetes management, semaglutide has been approved for weight loss (Wegovy®) in certain patients, making it a popular choice for those seeking to achieve their weight loss goals.  Semaglutide is a once-weekly injection medication that can be easily self-administered.
